Winter Break Fun

We have been busy!  Of course we have spent lots of time playing with new toys.  Like this Lego RV set and Jack's PJ Masks puzzle.

I'm not too sure what I was thinking but on Tuesday we headed to the Magic House.  It was insane!  Thank goodness Nonna came along for the ride!

As usual the boys wanted to climb the benastalk first.  William was up to the very top in record time.  I was so grateful to Max for sticking with Jack to make sure he was good.

We checked out the bubble room.

And the branches of government area.  William and Max liked playing judge.

We split up for a bit - Nonna took Jack to the preschool area and I took the big boys to the Lego exhibit.  It was pretty amazing seeing all those famous buildings made out of Legos and they had a great time creating their own amazing structures.

Jack loves playing with this car.  He cracked me up as he was underneath as he yelled out "I need some tools mommy!"

Friday we tried out someplace new - the Flying Spider.  It is a crazy new trampoline park.  It was a bit much for Jack size kids, but the big boys were in their element.

I was so impressed with Max as he attempted this super difficult obstacle course.  It looked hard - really, really hard  - and he gave it his all.

Both big boys also loved this mini zip line.  They were both quick to tell me that it wasn't nearly as cool as the real zip-line they did in Michigan.

We still have a few more days of break and have a den meeting planned at the zoo for Wednesday before the kids go back to school on Thursday.  It has been a pretty great break and I haven't lost my cool too often - I'd say that's a win!

Christmas Day

What a wonderful morning!  We started out singing Happy Birthday to baby Jesus.

We even had a special cake and cups for the occasion thanks to our super sweet next door neighbor.

After singing it was time to open those presents from Santa!  Max was pretty excited about his Wii U mindcraft game.  William was absolutely thrilled with his Nintendo DS.

The PJ Masks theme continues for Jack as he got a giant stuffed Catboy.  He carries this guy around everywhere and just loves him to death!

There were lots more presents and lots more smiles.  It was a pretty perfect morning.

I made something special for each boy.  Max got his big guy quilt.  I had been working on it here and there for months!  I'm so glad it's done and he just loves it.  William loves his dedes.  One of his original dede's tore so I found and old pillowcase and made his dede into a new pillowcase.  He seems to like it!  Jack got a new photobook all about him.  No pic on that one.
Last gift to be opened was mom's big one.  I love the looks on the big boys face as they watch me open my present.  So far, I'm pretty happy with my Roomba!
We enjoyed a fabulous lunch with Grandpa, Grandma, and Great Grandma.   It was the perfect afternoon!
We wrapped up the holiday with a quiet dinner at Nonna and Nonno's house.  I have no idea what was so funny to everyone, but I think there was some tickling involved.  I hope everyone had a wonderful, and very Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve

The annual Christmas party with my side of the family is always on Christmas Eve.  It is a great time and this year didn't disappoint!

Look at all my handsome men!

Nonna had to work, so at one point Nonno brought the phone so that she could facetime with the boys. It was pretty cute.

Jack loved meeting Romelous.  The boys even got to watch Tony feed him!

It was a chilly one this year!  We even had some snow!  The boys braved to weather to see the reindeer food would do the trick yet again.

Jack decided he liked begin inside better - I don't blame him!

There were lots of smiles and presents to open.  I just love Jack's cheesy grin.  I think I have a smile like this with every preset he opened.

The reindeer food work - the big guy arrived carrying a bag of gifts!  William wasn't too excited about his Uno Attack game - but it has become a huge hit in our house this past week

Jack wasn't so sure about Santa at first.  Then he told Santa one more time that he really watned a PJ Masks book that plays music.  His smile when he opened it was the cutest thing all night long.  Just magical!

Max is just getting so old!  He was a bit shy this year with Santa, but he was excited to get two tickets to see 2cellos at The Fox in a couple weeks.

There is that cheesy Jack grin again!

Jack was asked by Aunt Anna to do a pretty important job - be her ring bearer in September!  His response "No!"  I think he will get it together before the big day rolls around.  After all he did a great job as ring bearer for godfather Tony's wedding!
