Family Halloween Party

 This year for Halloween we had a Power Ranger

A baseball player

 and Mario riding Yosi - again.   Max used this costume for two years and William couldn't wait for it to be his turn.  Best $30 ever spent on a costume. 

 All three boys had a great time celebrating at Aunt Carm and Uncle Mike's party.  They love seeing the kids from the other side of the family and they had a great time hanging out with them. 

This guy kept cracking me up with his super special Power Rangers moves.

 Of course Nonna was there - with pumpkin hat.  After a while I realized that it was part of a dog costume. 

 As always Aunt Carm knows just how to throw a party - complete with smores.

I think next year Max might actually be taller than his Aunt Anna!  This party was just what we needed after a stressful week.  Family time is the best time!

Kindergarten Pumpkin Carving

Yet another right of passage for our littlest bit - kindergarten pumpkin carving night with dad.  I'm so grateful to his sweet teacher for sending me this picture.  He was all excited to pick a design and scoop out the pumpkin guts.  I think it turned out pretty darn cute.

Our Favorite Veteran

Every year our music teacher has the kids perform in a Veteran's Day assembly.  She invites the families to send in pictures of our kids with their favorite veteran.  We needed up to update the picture this year since Jack needed to be included too.  Pretty darn cute!

Jack's First Field Trip

I woke up on the morning of this trip thinking that this was my 'last first field trip'.  Sometimes little things remind me of just how quickly the boys are growing up.  I knew this would be a good one because we were going back to our favorite pumpkin patch - yeah, the one we just visited as a family the week before ;)

We started out waiting in a crazy long line for the hayride.  Along with another mom I was responsible for these four little cuties. 

 Finally it was our turn!  The boys just wanted to spend the entire ride throwing hay at each other - just like the weekend before.

 After the ride we made our way to the obstacle course.  All of the kids just loved it!

The zipline, slide, and tower of terror were pretty big hits too.   We capped off the trip with a picnic lunch and some playtime at the park.  Jack had a great time and he can't wait for his next field trip.

Family Fun at the Pumpkin Patch

We braved the pumpkin patch on a crazy cold Saturday morning.  It was super warm the day before, and we weren't quite prepared for the drop in temps.   Despite the cold the boys had so much fun! 

First up was the obstacle course.  Jack seriously would have been content to spend his entire day here.

 I did get him to take an obstacle course break for one picture. 

The zipline is always lots of fun too.  The two big boys tried racing - Max always won :)

Once the kids had spent lots of time running around we got in line for the hayride.  I think I spent the entire time telling them not to throw hay at eachother - but they had fun.

One more picture of all three boys together and we headed to the tent for lunch - and hot chocolate.  Another fun family outings in the books!

Columbus Day Parade

I haven't been to a Columbus Day parade in years!  My cousin, Aurelio, suggested we meet up at Uncle Mel's house and check it out.  I have to say it was a pretty awesome day - although it could have been about 20 degrees cooler. 

I remember having generic tootsie rolls thrown at me during this parade years ago, so we were prepared with bags.  I will admit that we were super early and the kids were pretty much over it before it even began.

 That quickly changed as soon as the parade started.  They all LOVED it!!!!  There was so much candy thrown that the boys just couldn't keep up catching it.  And this guy here just smiled from ear to ear the entire time.  Max has been super interested in cars for a few months now.  He was in car heaven!  Rather than chasing candy he chased cars - and had me take pictures of him with all of them.  It was seriously adorable.  I loved watching how much he loved it. 

 I have 8 million pictures on my phone of Max wearing a huge grin with a fancy car in the background - and he can tell you what every car it.  I on the other hand have no idea!

This picture makes me smile.  My Uncle Vince lived upstairs at Uncle Mel's old house.  He came out for a bit to watch the parade with all of my.  My sweet mom asked me to take a picture of her and her little brother.  He was in an accident and passed away on October 29th.  I'm so grateful mom asked me to take this picture. 

Just Becuase

Just because I found these three adorable pictures of William on my phone.

He still loves his dedes - particularly the one I turned into a pillowcase when it developed a hole.  That star blanket was one of my first purchases after he was born.

One morning William decided to bring this set of table and chairs up from the basement - "We NEED an oragami table in the living room mom!"  Ever since I have found oragami pianos all over the house.
