Pinewood Derby

January is not my favorite month.  It's cold, and dark, and just not much fun.  Luckily we have had a few fun things to break up the month. Up first - the pinewood derby!

 Max and Dad worked really hard to make a super cool car - it looked like a Hershey's bar! Jack had fun cheering for his brother's car.

 Max actually had quite the cheering section - including Grandpa Jack and Uncle Tim. 

 When all was said and done it wasn't Max's fastest race.  In fact he was a bit disappointed in his place.  Luckily he still has a couple more years of cub scouts to perfect his pinewood derby car making abilities.

William also worked with Dad to make a car.  He was so excited to see his car ride down that track!  He actually came in third place in the family race and got a trophy!

He can't wait until next year when he is a real scout for the event!
