Will has been looking pretty shaggy for a while now. I think I have been trying to hang on to my baby as long as possible. Getting a haircut just feels like such a big boy thing to do. I have a little guilt that Will isn't going to be the baby as long as his brother. At two he is going to be forced into the life of a big brother, and it makes me just a tad bit sad. Okay maybe more than a tad bit sad, it makes me a lot sad. I just remind myself that he will get the benefits of having a big brother AND being a big brother. That makes up for it, right?
Well, it was time. In fact it was probably a little bit past time, for him to get his first haircut from Great Aunt Carm. Max is an old pro at haircuts, so he showed Will how it should be done. It is crazy how much hair Max has.
Will watched Max like a hawk and I really think it helped him to not be too terrified when it was his turn.
There were a few more tears when Great Aunt Carm used the spray bottle - from the looks of this picture, Daddy agrees that the spray bottle isn't the greatest.
So to get over this set of tears, the whole bag of Cheez Its was necessary. But after that things were smooth sailing.
Here is my big boy after the whole ordeal was over. Great Aunt Carm did a great job and I just can't believe how much older he looks. It's like cutting off his wispy little baby fine hair took his last bit of babyhood with it. I think I need to adjust to the fact that he isn't going to be my baby much longer. Oh, who am I kidding. Both of my boys will always be my babies no matter how big and grown up looking they get.
