Thirteen!

Holy Moly we have a teenager!  I can't believe that this guy is so old!  He is deep into the typical teen attitude and never wants me to take his picture, but he relented a little - and I almost got a smile.  Being his mom is the best thing that has ever happened to me.

Happy Easter!

We were so busy enjoying our annual Easter egg hunt in the back yard that I didn't take any pictures.  I guess this one will have to do.

Bee Swarm

We were enjoying dinner on the screened porch when I noticed something on the redbud tree in our back yard.  It was a huge mass of flying insects!  I was terrified!

After some searching I found that it was a bee swarm and lucky for me we have a bee keeper right down the street.  I drove down and knocked on his door and he was kind enough to come rescue the bees.

It was incredible to watch him give these sweet pollinators a new home.  He estimated that there were 30,000 - 40,000 bees!  Nature is amazing.

Magic Windows

Jack's teachers reached out and voiced concerns about Jack's vision.  We took him in right away, and sure enough he needed a little extra accessory.

He was so excited for his glasses and couldn't stop telling me all about how clear things were.  He called them his 'magic windows' and it was the cutest thing ever!

Happy Birthday Brian!

This guy makes 43 look good.  I sure hit the jackpot!

Hardware Removal

William had been having some pain in his arm from the accident.  We met with a neuromuscular specialist and his orthopedist.  Together the team decided that his hardware was pinching his never and needed to be removed.

Of course surgery was scheduled for the worst day of winter weather all year.  He did great during the procedure and recovery.  He thought it was pretty cool that his hardware came home with us.

His recovery went as smooth as we could hope!

Snow!

We may have only had an inch of snow, but these two cuties were determined to make the most of it!
