Magic Windows

Jack's teachers reached out and voiced concerns about Jack's vision.  We took him in right away, and sure enough he needed a little extra accessory.

He was so excited for his glasses and couldn't stop telling me all about how clear things were.  He called them his 'magic windows' and it was the cutest thing ever!

Happy Birthday Brian!

This guy makes 43 look good.  I sure hit the jackpot!

Hardware Removal

William had been having some pain in his arm from the accident.  We met with a neuromuscular specialist and his orthopedist.  Together the team decided that his hardware was pinching his never and needed to be removed.

Of course surgery was scheduled for the worst day of winter weather all year.  He did great during the procedure and recovery.  He thought it was pretty cool that his hardware came home with us.

His recovery went as smooth as we could hope!

Snow!

We may have only had an inch of snow, but these two cuties were determined to make the most of it!

PInewood Derby Cars

What could possibly go wrong with two boys and a drill?  At least Jack had some safety glasses on :)

Goodbye 2020!

What better way to celebrate a new year than with homemade pizza and crazy hand held fireworks?

Merry Christmas!

Much like Thanksgiving Christmas was not how we would usually celebrate, but we made the best of it and focused on what was important.

We decided to surprise the boys with a new addition  - a kitten!  He was in  a foster home and we arranged with his foster mom to pick him up on Christmas Eve.  We packed up the kids and told them we were dropping off gifts to dads coworkers.  Once we pulled up to the house we told them there was a surprise inside and that they each had a gift to open as a clue.  They opened a cat toy, a scratching post, and a collar.  I went in and brought our new addition out - Tommy!

He made himself at home as we celebrated Christmas day that included a Back to the Future marathon and lots of kitten snuggles - and of course presents!

We can't wait until we can resume our regular celebrations next year, but we made this one pretty special!
