Memorial Day Weekend

What a whirlwind weekend!  It was full of family fun and by the time Monday evening rolled around we were all pretty exhausted.

On Sunday we met up with Uncle Will, Aunt Sue, and sweet little Maddie for some fun at the zoo.  I have to admit that it was pretty hot, but it was really fun.  The hippos were the big hit of the day, well that and climbing in and out of the stroller.

Monday we loaded up after breakfast and headed out to the farm to pick strawberries.  Max is always up for fruit picking of any sort -  after all it means that he gets to ride on the tractor.  In fact he was curious about why the tractor had such huge wheels in the back, so we asked the driver.  I think he just made up an answer, but Max was excited about it.

As is often the case, Will was the life of the berry picking party.  He just kept launching his spunky little self over one row of plants and then another.  Unfortunately, there were a few strawberry plant casualties from his antics.  But he was so darn proud of the berries that he picked!  You can't help but laugh when this little man is around.

And then there was Jack, sweet little berry eating Jack.  He just plopped his cute little tush in the middle of two rows of plants and chowed down on any and every strawberry handed to him.  He loved it and I loved watching him enjoy it!  I am a bit sad that I don't think that cute little romper will ever be the same.

So Long Kindergarten!

I really don't see how it is possible, but last Friday was Max's last day of kindergarten.  This year has flown by and he has grown so much.  The school year went really well.  We saw huge gains in his writing and he continues to love ready and math.  I think the most fun part was the social development.  It has been really sweet to see him make friends and have play dates.  He is such a sweet guy and has such a big heart.

We are one week into his summer vacation and so far so good!  We discovered a wonderful new park - that we already visited twice this week - and we went to story time at the library.  Next we he starts a summer school program at school so that will help to keep him busy and give him some time with his buddies.  I'm sure he is already tired of me and his brothers :)

And of course, what huge life milestone would be complete without an attempt at a picture of all three boys.  Pretty sad that this is the best I was able to get.  It cracks me up that Will loves his bike helmet so much.  I think he wore it for three hours straight that morning.

Happy Mother's Day!

What a fabulous weekend!  The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed lots of fun family time outside.  It started with Max's t-ball game and a trip to the park yesterday and then this morning we headed to Grant's Farm.  We were there early and it's a good thing because by the time we left the line was crazy long.

As always the tram ride was a big hit.  It's sad that this is the best picture we got of me with all three boys today.  The look on Jack's face cracks me up.

Both of the big boys had fun feeding the goats.  They must have had a big breakfast because they weren't too aggressive and Max had fun actually feeding them without the fence for protection.  Will preferred the barrier.  Poor guy had a tough time getting the angle of his bottle to work out between the slats.  Jack had fun watching the goats  from the safety of the carrier.

Will also decided that he wanted to try out the carousel.  It was making me feel sick just watching so Daddy was the lucky one that got to ride with him.  Will loved it!  He had the biggest smile on his face all seven times he came around - yes, Max counted.

After Gant's Farm we headed up to the hospital to say hi to Nonna at work.  Max loved all her colored markers at her desk and Will loved using her badge to make the doors open.  It was pretty cute.

After a trip to Costco - all by myself!- dinner, and baths all three boys are sound asleep.  I love them so much that it hurts.  There are days that try my patience, but I really do enjoy my time with them.  I'm so lucky to be their momma!

Kindergarten Circus

Max's elementary school has a kindergarten circus every year.  I was a bit stressed as we were supposed to come up with an act, costume, and props.  In my mind it was going to be a bigger deal than it was.  In reality it was the cutest little thing - and actually pretty laid back.  The performers paraded across the stage and then one by one the ringmaster called the acts to the stage.  Max was a lion - in a too small lion costume that I made for Will last Halloween.  He was so cute!  His buddy was the lion tamer and got our little lion to walk the balance been, bounce a beach ball, and jump through a ring of fire.

Three Boys on the Playset

One of Jack's birthday presents was a bucket swing for the playset.  I just couldn't help but take a short video of my three sweet little boys playing on the playset this afternoon.  Too stinkin' cute!

Party Day

It doesn't get any better than celebrating our boys' birthday with our family and friends.  There was so much love in our house yesterday, I just didn't want it to end!  The boys didn't want it to end either!

Aunt Carm did it again, with another fabulous cake.  This time a dump truck hauling a load of Oreos.  It was too cute, and it tasted pretty good too.
We sang to both boys and while Jack wasn't too into it, Will loved it.  He couldn't wait to blow out his candles and actually tried just about the whole time we were singing.  I also don't think he liked sharing the spotlight with Jack.  He wanted the song all to himself.
Jack and Will weren't the only birthday boys.  Grandpa Jack turned seventy the day before Will's birthday.  Both of the birthday Jacks had special cakes, and little Jack was happy to dig into both of them when Grandpa offered to share a bit.

Will was pretty happy to dig into the birthday cake too.  He is such a little ham.  His face is so expressive and those little expressions are priceless!

And here are a few more pictures, because I can't help sharing and the party was just so fun.  I love all of these family members and I love that they love our boys!

I can't wait for the next celebration.
