Nine Months Old

Wow, really?  Can it be?  It's embarrassing just how often I say this, but time just seems to fly with these little ones!  Jack is officially a big old nine month old, well and two days.  I'm a bit late with the update.

We headed to the office to see Dr. Joe.  Will was so sweet.  He was all worried that Baby Jack was sick.  He couldn't quite wrap his head around the idea that Jack just needed a check up.  Jack weighed in at 21 pounds, 3 ounces - 65th percentile.  He measured 30 1/4 inches long - above the 95th percentile.  Crazy long boy.  I think this is why I seem to keep putting the same few outfits on him over and over again - they are the few that fit!

We have been working with Jack on standing up.  This is not something he enjoys.  This little man is a sitter.  You can see from this picture that he is just waiting to plop is cute little tush down. We are seeing progress, so hopefully he will be standing up better soon. He is able to pull up to his knees on his own - he loves pulling up at the train table to see what his big brothers are up to.

I just can't get enough of his gorgeous blue eyes and his wild man hair.  He is also the proud owner of eight teeth.  The last one just cut through last week. It is so funny to see him smile with a mouth full of teeth.  He still loves to play patty cake, and sometimes he will play along and do so big.

Jack is getting quicker by the day.  He has been using a combination of rolling and commando crawling to get to whatever he wants.  Which is usually something he probably shouldn't have - you know like cords or toy cars (I'm always nervous he is going to chew off one of the wheels).  He is a great little sleeper and eater.  We got the green light today to start introducing table foods.  I think our mealtimes are about to get a whole lot messier.

And one last awful, blurry picture.  As I was taking pictures of Jack he decided that the camera looked really interesting.  So interesting that he got up on his hands and knees and crawled across the carpet to try to grab it from me.  I have a feeling he will be a super speed crawler before I know it.
