He's Off - For a Week!

Yesterday morning we dropped Max off at his troop leaders to head to Boy Scout camp for the week.  I can't believe he is gone for a whole week.  He worked with me to prep all of his clothes and supplies.

I hope he has an amazing time.  I'm so proud of him for taking a risk and doing something that is outside his comfort zone.

Brian and I are heading down Wednesday night for parent night.  Hopefully he won't beg to come back home with us :)

Circus Flora

Great Aunt Carm and Uncle Mike are simply amazing.  They took all six of their great nieces and nephews to Circus Flora for their birthdays this year.

The evening started with dinner, then moved on to ice cream before heading to the big top!

All six kids had a great time. The boys thought the tumblers were pretty amazing.  It was like watching America's Got Talent in real life.

I'm so grateful that these two amazing people love on my boys the way that they do!

Golf

Both of the big boys are playing golf through our church this summer.  They both seem to really enjoy it!

With the excitement of hockey playoffs, mom got to take Max to the course for three of his rounds.  It was so much fun to walk the course with him and see his progress.  He actually took seven strokes off his score on the last round.  I'd say that's pretty impressive!

Will hasn't been off on the course yet.  He has four lessons with the pros before he heads out.  This weeks lesson was all about driving.

The pro was great.  He talked to the kids about how to grip the club, how to position themselves, and how to follow through on their swing.   William did a pretty great job!  Some of his shots were way better than what I could do!

Cleaning With Kids

With everyone home for summer I have recruited help keeping the house clean.  I have to say they are working hard and they have a great attitude about helping.  Unfortunately this picture sums up how smoothly cleaning with 'help' goes.

But hey, at least he knows you are supposed to empty the vacuum canister when you are finished, right?
